Kallai is the most polluted river in Kerala: CPCB report

The condition of the river can be attributed to the discharge of pollutants from industries and drainage systems across the city that are being channelled through the Conolly canal; efforts to de-silt the waterbody, which started around 20 years ago, proved futile
