Cyber Crime Wing of Tamil Nadu police warns of new UPI scam

A fraudster sends a small sum to the victim’s bank account through UPI. This deposit would trigger notification via an SMS, prompting the victim to check the balance. The scammer then initiates a withdrawal request, and draws a sum higher than the initial deposit, say police.
